Use of non-compatible drivers Do not print to an HP Designjet 500 mono series printer with drivers other than those intended for use with the HP Designjet 500 mono series printer. Using any other printer drivers may cause unexpected results. Installation - general Before installing the HP Designjet printer software, close all applications and TSR (Terminate and Stay Resident) programs that load at startup in the Windows operating systems, or in DOS. Examples of such programs are Microsoft Office Manager, virus protection software, and Norton Desktop.
